We Like to Shut it Down, Too
Often times, when things go a little haywire in the SEO industry we like to joke here at Kahena that we should “just shut it down”. Well apparently in congress, when things don’t go the way everyone wants, they also have this joke… although I think they take things slightly more literally.
Kahena is a Digital Marketing agency based in Israel. That said, we all have deep roots tracing back to places all across the US (we have one Aussie too). So in the wake of a government shut down (and yes, at the time this was written, the US government was in fact shut down), since shutting things down is apparently free game, we decided to rally the troops and start irrationally shutting down parts of the internet that we dislike. Here it goes!
SHUT IT DOWN: Automated responses from Google – Because I wrote you a heartfelt letter. Are you there, Google? It’s me, Denisse.” |
SHUT IT DOWN: Android OS – because just give me the shiny buttons and half eaten apple. Much better than Jelly Beans, really. |
SHUT IT DOWN: Link Penalties – Because we all know when we search for “David Hasselhoff”, what we really want are payday loan applications. |
SHUT IT DOWN: Bing – Because who the hell do they think they are… Google? |
SHUT IT DOWN: Auto Correct – Don’t tell me what I want to search for. If I search for “phutbol gaims”, I know exactly what I am doing! |
SHUT IT DOWN: Links on the Internet – Instead of showing a link, I am going to put a (not provided) there and not tell you where I got it. |
SHUT IT DOWN: Bad Social Etiquette – Just shutdown people who tweet/post: “THIS!” or ask a question and then say “GO!” … What about this, and where should we go!?!? |
SHUT IT DOWN: Email. Seriously…. Shut it down. It was created in 1971. Really? Carbon Copy? Whatever happened to Google Wave? 🙁 |
